As we traveled through Swaziland, we came across a school which provides free education for poverty stricken children.  Our teams go in and provide some assistance in helping provide an education to children who wouldn’t normally receive on because they can’t afford the fees.

In this particular squatter camp in Swaziland, prostitution with the children is a way of making money.  We met a women who had the joy of God bubbling out of her.  She smiled and glowed when she talked about Jesus.  But when she talked about the children who God has placed on her heart, a certain sadness came over her.  She has tried everything but has felt like nothing has worked to stop the prostitution of these precious children.  Here she is below.

She feels like God has asked her to start a school for the children.  She felt like God was telling her to educate the children, it is their only hope.  The picture above is her in her office with all the supplies that she has.  Below is a picture of the classrooom with all the mold.

Our Real Life and FYM Teams go in and help her teach basic schooling and share the love of Jesus.   Most of her supplies are donated, some from our teams, and she has very little.  Her thinking is that if she can educate the children, then that may give them hope to make something of their lives.  This is just one story of the many that we ran into while we were in Swaziland.  Swaziland is a needy country, children are
dying of AIDS everyday without hope.  Pray for these children and pray for our teams as they do what they can to help a nation who is dying right before our eyes.

  1. My eyes are filled with tears my heart is filled with a deep sorrow as I read and look upon these children. I know if I have such feelings our Lord and Savior must cry out everyday for someone to open their eyes and do what He has called us to do. We must answer His call and I pray we all do something to assist AIM, as the FYM’s reach and touch these little ones for Christ. Prayers are a start. Let’s do more follow up with actions. Dave &Vicki, what can we do in a more tangleable way? Thank you for placing before us these children of God.

  2. I agree. I am praying for these children today, and I will ask others to join in. What more can we do?

  3. We went there with Jumbo and he is doing work on this. We are hoping to get them all sponsored and we will continue to send teams to educate them. What can we do? Pray and keep spreading the word. We need to keep sending Real Life and FYM Teams there.

  4. Vicki! How I miss you guys! I was just thinking about you and wanted to say hello. Hope you are all doing well. I love you. Tell Dave and the boys I said hi. I miss goofing off with them in the office.:)

  5. My heart just breaks and longs to be there to help. I’m thankful that God is raising up that woman to help the innocent children. I’m praying that God will renew her strength each day and that His favor is on her and FYM teams there.
