It is the 19th of December and the temperature is 75 outside, it is hard to think that Christmas is in 6 days. Days have been busy and full of activity. I love the hustle and bustle and I love this time of year. The FYM program is full of all the fast paced activity too. In 9 months a new groups of FYM’s will be sent out. You ask, “You are talking about the new group of FYM’s going out?” Yes, a new group of participants are starting to get ready for 9 months of ministry. Today we had to close our Dominican Republic FYM Team to applications, we already have a full team ready to be sent out September 2007. God continues to bless the FYM program in great ways. It is unbeliveable to me that 9 months before we send out a new group of FYM’s we are closing a site.
College kids are hungry for missions. They are hungry for a relationship with God that is real and growing. They are hungry to minister to the poor. They are hungry to share their faith. Continue to pray for us as we prepare another group of 80 FYM’s to be sent out for 9 months. Pray for the 77 FYM’s who are in 7 locations ministering their hearts out right now. What an exciting ministry as we send out close to 100 college students each year for 9 months.
Continue to pray for new locations and new leaders so we could send out more kids. Dave and I feel so blessed to be a part of this exciting, growing ministry. A BIG thank-you to all who support us to help make this possible.
