The Awakening is going well.  I have been here in South Africa now for a week and things are going well with the team and with the leadership.  There are reports of participants having their eyes opened to the truth of the word and their own lives.  Many are coming to know the Lord in ways they didn’t know Him before.  That’s why we felt the Lord wanted us to do this.  Instead of sending teams to Africa and throw them into ministry, we wanted to spend some time in training and challenging them in their walk with the Lord, to work through the junk in their lives, to be wholly devoted to the Lord so they can be freed up more for ministry.

Of course along the way in doing that there are issues which come up that need to be dealt with.  As I’ve always said, discipleship is messy.  If lives are going to be changed you need to deal with the junk out there.  There needs to be cleansing and restoration, which is happening.

Along with that there is also some great ministry taking place in the townships here.  God is working and using these kids.  I haven’t got my camera out yet because I’ve  been busy with the ministry and helping the leaders here in leading these kids.  My next post will be filled with pictures.

  1. That’s AWESOME! It is amazing the power that all of that junk can hold. …keep loosening those captives… but don’t forget to take a moment to take care of you.

  3. We miss you here! But I am glad that you are having fun teaching and discipling to everyone at Awakening! I spent the weekend at your house helping out Aunt Vicki, it was fun! We can’t wait until you are back!
