Wow, I knew we hadn’t put any new posts up for a while, but I didn’t realize it had been a month since our last post. So much has happened during the month of June, and now we’re almost into July. Where did the month go?
June started with us getting a dog. Yes, we are the owners of a beagle. He’s a great dog, a year old, fully house broken, crate trained, has all his shots, and was free! I never thought we’d ever get a beagle since we had a beagle mix when we first got married and had to get rid of her becasue she was destroying our home. We just couldn’t train her. But Cooper is completely different. He’s very tame and is going to be a great pet. Josh and Jeremy love him and Vicki is quickly growing attached. Our boys have been on us for a number of years to get a dog and God delivered this one to us.
During this month we also had 3 training camps here. We had about 80 at the first two camps and 50 at the last one. We currently have about 200 individuals out right now in places like Swaziland, India, the Amazon Jungle of Peru, New Zealand, South Africa and Kenya. This is our Real Life and Ambassador teams (1 and 2 month teams). We didn’t have a lot to do with these camps, but there was a lot of people around during the month.
We are now getting ready for the FYM’s coming in September. In about 10 weeks we will have 80 individuals preparing to go out for the year. However, right now we don’t have all the leadership we need for these teams. We have some people praying about leading, but still need commitments from them. Pray for leadership for these teams. We need staff for some of our Africa locations. Pray that God would provide for those needs.
We’ll be posting more details of things going on over the next several days. Now that training camps are over things have settled down a bit. There are a lot of things we want to talk about.
