Missing Dave

It has been two weeks since Dave has been gone and I really miss him.  I have seen how much I depend on him for everything.  But in a lot of ways, this has been good for me in that it has forced me to depend on God more and more.  He comes home in one week.  PTL!

God has sent us 6 incredible interns this year.  They have helped so much in the office and have had great attitudes all along the way.  I throw a job at them and they do it.  What a blessing.  They also have gone out of their way to help me with Dave being gone.  I praise God for them.

Prayer Items:

• Thank-you for all your prayers for me as Dave has been gone, I have felt them. 


• Continue to pray for Dave, especially this week as the final teams will be formed in Africa.  We have 40 kids that we will be placing on teams and sending to different locations after Christmas.  This will be a big job for him this week along with the staff that is there. 


• Continue to pray for the interns as they allow God to work in their lives and as they talk to future participants.


• Pray for Lanier Hills Church youth ministry as the interns help out there.  They are building relationships and doing a great job at teaching and leading the youth.


• Pray for Dave and I as we lead the Interns and pour into them.  Each day I realize how hard it is to lead them and be the servant that God wants me to be.  I see my flaws and God continues to challenge me in my own life through them.


• Pray for 500 participants for 2008.  We have 94 accepted right now.  We are way ahead of last year but it still is a big goal.  I want so badly to see 500 kids sent out and their lives changed forever.

I praise the Lord for His blessings that He pours out each day on me!
