Saturday, my family and I went to Six Flags over Georgia. We spent the entire day waiting in line. Actually, it just felt like that. But as I looked back over the day, we did only go on 5 rides. The wait for the rides was about 2 hours. You stand in line for so long, you are bored, feet hurting and little room to move. But yet you still wait and wait. Finally, you get to the stairs that go up and realize you are getting close. Your heart starts to beat faster and you get new life in you. You round the turn and you see the roller coaster and you pick out your car. You get in the car and you are straped into it so you can not move and many times you can not breathe. But you still ride the ride. Why? Because the feeling and excitement you get in that three minutes makes you forget all the wait and misery.
Anything worth while in life takes time. We need to be willing to put in the time it takes, no matter what the job is or how bad the job is, to truely appreciate the end result. I know when I have done all I could do and have put all myself into something, I appreciate it so much more. What are your lines, hurting feet or not being able to breathe? Are you going to endure them and do them. If so, the enjoyment and excitement in the end is worth it!
