My day started by having a chocolate pancake breakfast for Holly, the RA here in

England
, as today is her 21st birthday.
So my person to pray for today is Holly, pray that God would make it a special day for her.
When you are away from your family it is hard on your birthday, pray that God would be her comfort, her rock and He is all she would need today.
The England Team is blessed to have her; she has a true servant’s heart.
If there is something that she can do for someone she does it.

I went to church this morning and my heart was broken.
The congregation was about 20 people and all of them were over the age of 65.
  Christians are dying off, literally.
Henry oversees three churches and one of them is closing their doors in a few months.
At first glance it seems like it is just like

America
but as you spend time here you see that the culture is so different.
It is almost harder to minister in

England
then in places that are so visibly different.
It is a relational ministry that is so draining.
Continue to pray for the country and our team that is here.

I had a lovely afternoon with Hanna (Base Leader) and Henry (Vicar in the Church of England).
We went to his house to eat and the three of us talked, laughed and cried.
Henry would like to start a youth program in his church but the problem with doing that is that no one in

England
knows what a youth ministry looks like.
When I say youth group, you picture something, but when I say youth group here in

England
, no one has a clue what that is.
Out FYM team has an opportunity of a lifetime sitting right before them.
Pray as God leads them to start a “youth ministry” here in

England
.

My evening was spent celebrating Holly’s birthday.
If you look at the picture you will notice that
she took the piece from the middle.
She was allowed to take any piece she wanted, first, since it was her birthday.
  Thank-you God for making Holly!

Prayer:

  1. I start teaching on Spiritual Gifts tomorrow
  2. My blister is doing better but is still there
  3. I start my one-on-ones with the girls tomorrow.
Pray that God would give me listening ears and that I would know how to encourage each person.
  4. We are going to two schools tomorrow.
Pray that as a team they would know how to show love with out any physical contact.
You can not touch a child in any way, even a pat on the back, it is the law.
