As we came on staff with AIM we weren't sure if we would end up working in Gainesville or being a base director at an FYM location.  We knew that God was leading us to work with the First Year Missions program, but we weren't sure in what capacity.  Therefore, as we came on we agreed to work in the home office and work in the support and development of the FYM ministry.  After being here for about 6 months, we feel very confident that this is where God wants us to be.  We have found a great home church, Josh is playing in the worship band, Jeremy is playing soccer and now taking drum lessons, and we love working at getting these kids out on to the field.  We are doing all the pre-field screening and training of these participants in getting them ready for their year of ministry.  We have already seen the impact we can have on these kids before we send them out.

Since deciding that this is where God wants us, we began looking for a permanent place to live.  We found it.  God led us to this house which is still under construction.  We put an offer on it yesterday and it was accepted!  Praise the Lord.  My prayer was that the builder would ac

cept the offer with no counter offer, and wouldn't you know it, he did!  The house should be ready in about 30 days, so we should be moving by the end of March.

God never ceases to amaze me.  He provides everything we need.  This house was actually the second house we put an offer on in this sub-division.  There was another one we were looking at but more expensive because it had a basement.  There were some things we weren't cracked up about with the house, but we decided to put an offer in and see what happens.  We placed the offer a little low and they came back pretty high.  We didn't feel good about countering, so we kept looking.  Then God led us to this house which was less in price, more liveable space, but without a basement.  We both felt really good about it and so put the offer on this one and it was accepted.  When we leave things in Gods hands He gives us what is best for us.  We are looking forward to the ministry which will take place in this house that God has given us to live in.
