Tomorrow, Vicki and I will be heading back over to Africa.  We will be there for two weeks, bringing support and encouragement to our two FYM teams in Swaziland.  These are the two teams which are short on leadership, have had hardships, accidents, vehicle problems, etc.  Our purpose is to go over there and support the two teams in any way we can.  We need to give our leaders a break.  I was talking to one of them a couple days ago and I asked if she had any time away from the team.  Her response was, “well, I had about 2 hours by myself last Saturday.”  This is not fair on her or the team.

As we go over there, we simply want to make ourselves available and do whatever needs to be done for these two teams.  If it’s cooking, providing transportation, teaching, leading, counseling, whatever, that’s what we want to do.  We want to serve our leaders and our teams.  We want to come back knowing that our leaders were built up, encouraged and rested.  It’s going to be draining and challenging, but fulfilling as well.

We are excited about what God is doing in and through these two teams.  With the trials they’ve been through, we know that God is working.  As I said in my last post, the battle is raging.  We know we’re walking into a battlefield, but we’re not going in unarmed.  We will be prepared and ready for the battle (Eph. 6:10-18).  Thanks for joining in the battle with us.
