I have been back from England for one week now and I have had time to reflect back on my trip and life here in the US. God keeps placing today’s youth on my heart; I try to step away from this age group only to be sucked back into them.

In England, you graduate from high school when you are 16, then you can not get a job until you are 18. So between the ages of 16-18, kids do not really have much to do, they are on the streets getting into trouble. God is not present in England; it is a cold dark country to God and anything spiritual. The youth today have not even heard about God. Many of their parents have not heard about God. The churches are dying out and religion keeps getting pushed back further and further.

In the US, our youth are one generation behind England. If we do not do something NOW, we will be just like England, where God is not existence. Since being home, God has challenged me to refuse to let this happen.

How do we refuse to let this happen? I have been asking this question. I believe that God has brought me to Adventures in Missions to be a part of this refusal. By sending kids out on a First Year Missions Internship, we are training them in how to be devoted followers of God. Their lives are changed by the time they get back home. But as they are being trained, kids in England are being changed by our kids in the US. What a great effect. God has really let me see that this ministry is so important for our youth here in the US.

Since the beginning of the year, we have lost some supporters due to various reasons. We currently are running $500/month behind in our support. We can not keep running that far behind for too much longer. God showed me that this is a ministry that is worth fighting for and working for. I refuse to let the US become like England. Will you join us by partnering with us?

  1. Amen! England, especially Salford is in dire need of God.
And America is not far behind… what a great chance we have to impact the culture here and set up for God to breathe into this place, while also learning how to keep it from happening in the States.
Thanks for your prayers and for letting people Stateside know of the situation we find ourselves in here…
    God bless

  2. Right… when I say “learning how to keep it from happening in the States” “it” was not referring to revival. “It” is the “non-existence” of God to these people. That’s what we’re keeping from happening in the States.
thought I’d clarify that one because after rereading that, it looked easily misinterpreted. maybe I won’t comment when I’m incredibly tired next time…
