I received a phone call yesterday saying that there had been an accident in Swaziland.  One of our FYM leaders was taking a group of 6 orphans somewhere when a dump truck ran a red light and smashed into their van.  Praise the Lord that no one was seriously injured.  We did have one girl who had a head injury and needed some stiches to close up the wound, but other than that everyone else just had some minor bumps and bruses.

When I heard about this, my heart went out to Cassie, the driver, who is also leading the FYM team.  She is leading the team which was supposed to go to Kenya but was moved to Swaziland due to the violence.  For some reason, this team is under attack from the enemy.  Here are some of the things this team as gone through:

  - Moved to Swaziland in January due to violence.  This caused many of them to loose money due to having to get new tickets and trying to get tickets within a week.

  - Lost two leaders when we moved the team out of Kenya.  Our main leader did not feel like God wanted him in Swaziland and one of our support leaders is still working at raising support and felt like this was not the time to go to Swaziland.  That left just one leader, Cassie, for this team.

  - Our other team scheduled to be in Swaziland, lost a leader as well the day before the trip, when a test came back from her doctor indicating she had mono.  So both teams were then down to only one leader.

  - We rented a house for the team and felt good about the house and location, but then had problems with the government in getting the water and electricity turned on.  They were there for almost 2 weeks with no running water or electricity.

  - The van the team was using was rented from a partnering ministry.  Now that van is gone due to the accident.  We need to find other transportation now or use public transportation.  Cassie needs to have some transportation to get to places where public transport doesn't go.

We realize that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and agianst the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."  (Eph. 6:12)

God is doing a work in Swaziland and the emeny is on the prowl.  The battle here will be won on our knees.
