I am reading the book, “Rees Howells Intercessor” by Norman Grubb and it has really convicted me.  I feel like my prayer life is pretty good until I read a book like this.  He was a true intercessor in every way.  In the book he defines a Prayer Warrior and an Intecessor.

Prayer Warrior – Can pray for a thing to be done without necessarily being willing for the answer to come thorugh himself, and he is even bound to continue in the prayer until it is answered.

Intercessor – Responsible to gain his objective, and he can never be free till he has gained it.  He will go to any lengths for the prayer to be answered through himself.

These definitions really got me thinking about my prayer life.  Are you an Prayer Warrior or an Intecessor?  I challenge you to read this book and be more of an intercessor, this book has really made me want to step up my prayer life.

  2. This book was a must read for our daughter a few years ago and it truly made an impact upon the meaning of prayer to me also. We need to be both warriors and intercessors. We are instructed as to how to pray throughout the Word of God Let’s Stand in the Gap for others together. Thanks for sharing these meanings with us and encouraging us to read this book.

  3. Dave, what a pleasure to hear that others have read Rees’ story and been touched by it. Colin had the honour of visiting the Rees Howells Bible College in Wales for three weeks were he met and spent time with Samuel Howells and came back with the book for us to read in 1997, and what a blessing it has been. Yes we are called to be intercessors, not just prayer warriors and to be consistent in it, so I pray that many others will find this book, read it and be changed for ever to the benefit of God’s kingdom.
    Blessings and miss you both

  4. I looked for that book online at the public library. I can’t find it. Where would I find this book?
